Your privacy at EaseQuiz

Account information. Your email address, authentication provider, internal user ID, and the username you choose. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email address.

Quiz source material. The source text you enter, or text that the app extracts from a photo or PDF, is transmitted when you ask EaseQuiz to generate a quiz.

Saved content. If you choose to save a quiz or question, we store that content, its answers, title, score, completion time, and creation date so it remains available in your account.

Player profile and activity. We store your XP, level-related progress, quiz and question totals, correct-answer totals, best combo, perfect and fast quiz counts, daily goal, streak dates, earned achievements, and identifiers used to prevent a completed quiz from being counted twice.

Purchases and token balance. We store your token balance and purchase records, including product, transaction identifier, price, currency, purchase date, and verification status. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Service and diagnostic information. We record quiz-generation type, question type, requested or generated question count, source word count, success or failure, limited error details, timestamps, and rate-limit information. These records help operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

We use account information to authenticate you, maintain your profile, synchronize your saved content and progress across devices, provide support, and communicate about the service.

We use quiz source material to generate the quiz you request. EaseQuiz does not save the submitted source material as a standalone document after generation. Generated quiz content is stored only when you use a feature that saves it to your account.

We use player activity to calculate XP, streaks, levels, progress, and achievements, and to prevent duplicate rewards when a request is retried.

We use purchase information to verify App Store transactions, credit token balances, prevent duplicate credits, and maintain financial and fraud-prevention records.

We use operational records to monitor reliability, enforce rate limits, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and improve EaseQuiz.

Supabase. We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. Account information, saved content, player progress, achievements, token balances, purchase records, and operational logs are stored there.

OpenRouter and AI model providers. Quiz source material is sent to OpenRouter, which routes it to the AI model selected by EaseQuiz. We may change the model over time. We do not intentionally include your email address, username, or account identifier in the model prompt. OpenRouter and the underlying model provider process the source material under their own terms and privacy policies.

Apple. Apple processes App Store payments and Sign in with Apple. We send transaction identifiers and related purchase information to Apple when verifying a purchase.

Discord. We use private Discord webhooks for internal operational notifications. These notifications may contain an email address or masked email, authentication provider, internal user ID, quiz-generation metadata and error details, or verified purchase information. Quiz source material and saved quiz questions are not intentionally included in these notifications.

Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, enforce our terms, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights and safety of EaseQuiz, its users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

Account information, saved content, player progress, achievements, and token balances are generally retained while your account remains active. Purchase, security, and operational records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for transaction verification, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or service security.

Some preferences and pending synchronization data may also be stored locally on your device. Removing the app may remove local data, but it does not by itself delete information associated with your EaseQuiz account.

We use access controls, authentication, row-level database security, and restricted server-side operations to protect account data. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

EaseQuiz is a general-audience educational quiz application that may be used by children as well as adults.

Where applicable law requires parental consent for a child to create an account or provide personal information, a parent or legal guardian must provide that consent and should supervise the child's use of EaseQuiz. Parents and guardians should help children avoid entering personal or sensitive information into quiz source material or usernames.

A parent or guardian may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of a child's account information. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child without consent required by applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

You can update your username in the app and remove individual saved quizzes or questions using the available controls.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Deletion requests may not remove records that we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-accounting purposes. Where applicable, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing or lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
